    Re: Peugeot Passport Scheme

Hi skywalker. There have only been a few phone calls from them. We told the dealer in Rochester in person that we did not want to buy the car and he said he would get it collected - we didn't see any problem there. I have put this all in writing to peugeot finance but I cannot find out who is the top manager and contact address is. Does anyone out there know this? Thankyou for your advice skywalker

    kind regards stolly

    Re: Peugeot Passport Scheme

Stolly, I am sorry to say this, but why did you imagine that this could be sorted out with a few 'phone calls? You should put everything in writing and send by recorded delivery - quite simply to protect yourself. Telephone calls are often ignored, but recorded delivery paperwork cannot be ignored. You need to stop talking to people on the telephone, and start creating a legal paper trail to cover yourself.

I suggest that you find out who the top manager is at Peugeot UK, and write to him/her (by recorded delivery) asking for help to reach a solution.

    Peugeot Passport Scheme

Hi my husband and I have used the peugeot passport scheme for 8 years with no problem up till now. Our latest passport scheme was due to end in June. We discussed a new passport scheme with the local peugeot dealer in Rochester. We didn't like the terms and went out and purchased a mini cooper. We told the dealer in April-May and he said he would phone in 2 weeks to arrange to collect the car. He didn't contact us until July 14th, we told him that the car was due an MOT and tax. Some rather rude women from peugeot finance was the next call we took in August. She told us that we must MOT the car or pay £250.00 for the car to be collected on a low loader. My husband refused to pay this. He said of course they could collect the car but he was not responsible for the cost. The next phone call was from the collecters who said we would be liable for the balloon payment or be taken to court as all this had gone on far too long! We have spoken to the finance department and they have said they are baffeled but the top managers won't budge. We took a call from someone at peugeot who said to phone the dealer and ask him to take the car back - he didn't want it. On retuning the call to the man who advised us he said sorry but cannot help now. You can imagine the stress this is putting us through. The car has MOT now and we are still paying the insurance for it as it sits on our drive (in the way I add) Can anyone advise? Regards Stolly
