My son has recently started contributing to a very generous share scheme with his employer Petroplus, ( Oil refiners listed on Swiss Exchange). The Company has been active over the ladt 2 to 3 years in acquiring refining companies throughout Europe.

I was however, puzzled by the share performance over th last year - share price has halved in that time. This is particularly difficult to understand, when we are told, that world refining capacity falls short of demand. I would appreciate a possible reason for this anomaly
