    Re: pet insurance

You will be amazed how much you will save, most do next day delivery and can even supply prescribed medication.

    My mum uses Pet Meds.

Our dog needed Frontline regularly and the vet was circa £30, off the internet the same frontline was about £13 delivered.

We found no catches, you just cut out the Vets profit.

Your friends are not entirely correct, the cheaper Insurers don't offer cover oover a certain age but the decent Insurers will keep offering cover.

Have you thought of buying the meds on the internet, you will find them around 60% less than the vet will charge you, its very very easy.

    Just google pet medicines

    pet insurance

there are pros and cons for insuring your pets. Recently one of my dogs became ill and after exhaustive and very expensive tests for underactive thyroid, diabetes and cushings disease - we have definitely settled on diabetes and the cushings is still under review. Over the past 2 months I have spent over £1000 on medication and tests. If she does have Cushings as well as diabetes her medication will be in the region of £100 per month. I do not have insurance, she is 10 years old and has never been ill in her life up to this point. However when discussing my 'error' in not having insurance with several people I have been told that she would have, in effect, ceased to have been insured anyway because of her age.

It seems that when the risk of claims becomes more real there are get out clauses for insurance companies.
