    Re: PCP???

First of all, PCP is a hallucinogenic drug that is best avoided.

Secondly if you enter into a contract that is based on you doing something (6k miles p.a.) that you have no intention of doing, then you are going to end up being taken for a (14k mile) ride.

Thirdly, Mercs are better made than BMWs but they don't have as much "pulling power".

Forthly, most finance plans are designed to confuse and overcharge buyers. If you have £x in the bank to spend on a car, you should have a look through autotrader.co.uk and your local paper, view a few cars, have a few test drives and check a few documents and, when you find the right deal, simply pay the money and take the car.

Hi there, Im self employed and have a sub contract with a company that I interview for across parts of the uk and travel about 20,000 miles a year. I am thinking of buying a new car on a personal PCP. I have looked at a BMW three series and the new mercedes CLC. I was told buy one saleman that the contract annual mileage is only really relevant if you hand the car back at the end of agreement. I intend to trade in after 36 months to give me piece of mind, for new model in three years. As the payment's with one car dealer were out of my budget he advised me to agree to 6,000 miles a year on a four year contract as this would bring the monthly payments down,(even though i told him i would do 20,000 and I would upgrade car after 2 to 3 years anyway. I just wondered if this information was correct as it seems a bit dishonest??

Also are there any particular dealers or websites you could recommend for good deals on PCP car purchase

Thank you and i look forward to your feedback.

    Clive
