    Re: Paypal verification

Thanks for the reply. I rang Lloyds just to get confirmation as it also stipulated on the paypal site that it should be a current or savings account. (i have a cash account but the advisor said it counts as a current one for Paypal?) I will only be using it for small purchases (memory cards etc.) as i have heard a lot of horror stories concerning Paypal. Once again thanks for the reply. Regards Dale

Oh and i had to leave my middle initial out and capital letters were fine.

    Re: Paypal verification

PayPal systems are not as robust as most other financial systems so you should not trust them with anything other than small amounts where it is convenient and you should not pay anyone over the internet without a real name and address.

I believe that the verification system involves them charging a few pence to your account, then you confirm over the internet how much that amount was. Your account should be in your full name although often initials or middle names are not given on plastic cards. I would suggest that you use your full name and dispute any charges that they make in error. As long as you don't use the system for large amounts, it wont be the end of the world if you lose a dispute.

    Paypal verification

Hi, not quite sure if i've posted this in the right section. I've opened a paypal account which needs verifying. It needs to have my account name as shown on the statements i have received from Lloyds which doesn't show my middle initial however it has my middle initial printed on my visa card. Which one do i enter as if i make a mistake i do believe i would get charged a return fee? Also my name is in initials on the paypal website when i've logged on, would that make any difference? Hope that makes sense. Any advice would be much appreciated. Regards Dale
