    These firms will all charge roughly the same percentage fee for doing what you can quite simply do for yourself.

    All you need do is send a letter identifying the account stating the reasons why you consider it was missold. Request the return of any PPI premiums paid plus any interest applied.....send your letter by recorded delivery asking for their kind response within the next three weeks.

    My husband was recently sucessful in getting back insurance premiums and compensation on mis-sold PPI through his bank.

    I have received a letter from a company who will investigate any PPI claim and they take 25% is they are successful.

    My PPI was not for any card relating to my bank - in fact when looking at the policies it is difficult to tell which cards they relate to. Is there a cheaper way of investigating this ?
