    Re: orange broadband

If you got any documents or emails from Orange stating their Terms and Conditions then you will have accepted that "you agree that we will begin the provision of the Services from the Start Date and in so doing you acknowledge that any statutory cancellation period and your rights to cancel within that period will end at the Start Date". If you want to cancel after the start date you must pay them all the charges that would be due over the full term. No 7 day cooling off period however Orange must provide their Terms & Conditions via durable medium before service starts for this to be applicable.

See Distance Selling Regulations at the OFT.

    Of course you do.

Send them a letter Recorded Delivery stating you wish to cancel. Also mention your conversations with the employees there (stating time and date called if you can remember), and that you were told there is no cooling off period and you wish to complain about this. Ask for them to respond to you in writing. Then wait. If their response is still in denial of the 7 day cooling off period (highly unlikely), then i would take it futher.

    orange broadband

Just taken Broad Band from Orange starting 12/11 they have sent a payment date for 10 days from the start date. I Have requested a new payment date for the Direct Debit to fall in line with my salary going into my account, but they refuse to change, After a long conversation with themi said i was unhappy with there service and would like to cancell my contratc involking the 7 day cooling of period, tehy informed me there is no cooling of period and that I would be charged a calnclleation charge.

When i asked to speak to someone in there compliants department was told i would be told the same thing

Do i have the right to cancel
