    Opening another account to separate your finances is never a bad thing. However, if you are doing it just because of the current financial market......

    HBOS are unlikely to go under, the BOS group is very strong as it has numerous arms to it's business. Shares are low just due to the global credit crunch.

    Our Current Account is with HBOS which is being hammered at the moment. It is difficult to run life without a Current Account which receives our salaries and deals with our SOs and DDs. So is it wise to open another Current Account with another bank just in case HBOS runs into extreme difficulties?
