    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

    hi carey,

I applied online & on one screen it asks about financial history, ie any ccj's, defaults etc. my only advice is be honest. I was. Further to your other question yes I am in the same position & want cheque book facility & somewher I can have my salary paid into. As for anything i found difficult with the application i can honestly say no. will keep you informed on the progress

Hallelujah!! Thanks Carey - for cutting out the cr*p, getting straight to the point and posting some really useful information! I'm certainly not here to try to catch anyone out - I've got better things to be doing with my time. But, Iggy omitted to mention certain important details that people were requesting regarding the debate in hand - and requesting with good cause! Thank you for clarifying these details - I personally found them very useful and am going to consider the N & P! Good luck with your application :-)

    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

I must admit I do like action. I fell into the trap of not trying simply because it is easier to give up thinking 'i won't get anything'! Now, I'm not saying anything has happened yet but rest assured, I'll report any positive action as it happens.

I realise that everybody has a separate set of circumstances and bad credit is not a crime as it seems to be made out to be by banks and any person not in the situation themselves. (Funny how when reading through different forums, people refer to bad credit scenarios as if a huge embarrassing stigma!) ie: not one of THOSE people. Well, some of THOSE people like myself are tryers, sometimes you have to hit a few problems in order to learn to succeed. I've been in a position where simply buying things has been a real issue, even paying bills by queuing at the post office with lots of THOSE people! he he

Anyway, the point I'd like to make is that it would be a much better world to live in when people in financial difficulties are not abused but instead advised and possibly supported by the large institutions. Why charge a hard up person almost double if they miss a DD by a few pounds and happily write it off for someone more sorted!

29.9% interest on a credit card!!! £35 if you go overdrawn on basic account!!! There should be a buffer for everyone because ultimately we are human and we do forget, or we do miss things by a day or two, or we do get hit by the bank charges before the cheque clears. (Sound familiar!) We are not computers, we're human, and human needs a little bit of flexibility. So if the bankers are reading, give us a break, because I reckon about 75% of THOSE people who still try, time and time again, will eventually turn into a great and profitable customer. We just need a tiny bit of support!

So, if I get the account with Norwich & Peterborough I'll tell you all and recommend them as much as I could. I was honest when I filled out the online application for the PERSONAL GOLD ACCOUNT as you can't apply for the GOLD BUSINESS ACCOUNT online, so I guess Boo72 was going for the personal account!

Hi all, as you know I paid the 99 pounds and was also put intouch with Norwich and Peterborough and was totally turned down for the gold account.I have also been intouch with Less than Perfect and was told someone would telephone me back within the hour, and I am still waiting for their telephone call three days later.

    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

As I said previously, lessthanperfect is just a scam,. I believe that iggy is affiliated with the site and the other ' customers ' who create accounts just to plug the website.

My opinions are just that opinions! Always seek legal and financial advice from a professional :)

    Pinky,

I agree that they're is something that Iggy is keeping from everyone on here. If he has nothing to hide then why not answer the questions that are put to him?

I do hope beefy, that you either get some response from this company? or you are able to get your money back.

Maybe they're not called less than perfect for nothing?!

    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

    Update:

    Turned Down by N & P

The quest continues. I'll just have to get my customers to write cheques to me in the meantime and try to use my electron card to pay suppliers! Not ideal but what can a boy do?

Question: How do people who emigrate here with no history get business accounts?

There must be a bank somewhere that could help me! Not giving up yet!

    :(

    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

Some websites claim to offer a passbook type account for businesses. Like a Basic Business Account but apart from these websites, similar to Lessthan...... I cannot find any information anywhere else.

The concept makes sense, the government seem to want to encourage entreprenuerial types like myself but don't seem to want to ACTUALLy help them.

     So,

Where are they then? This is the challenge I set to anyone reading this forum!

    Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk

Natwest offer a basic business account through their Natwest direct business banking as long as you don't request any form of credit ie overdraft, credit card etc you can apply off the Natwest website. You can also get a basic personal account with chq book & Maestro card but the key DON'T ask for any form of credit or they will do a credit search on you.

    Hope this helps
