Iggy # When signing up to the forums, you agreed not to:
"To disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in the CFA, or to act in a manner that adversely affects other participants;"
"To post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation in the CFA, except in any areas that may be designated for such a purpose" Please can you try and stop spamming the forums with your links. beefykins - I would suggest that you get professional advice on the matter. From what I can see on the site, I would not personally use this company. I have recently opened a Step account with Natwest which cost me nothing. While it didnt give me the joys of a maestro card, if I keep my account in good order I will be able to upgrade it in a few months time. This is the same of many high street and internet banks such as smile, coop etc. If you have had credit problems in the past or are having problems with credit , it is best you sort that out first. Then you can apply for accoutns free of charge that many banks such as Abbey, Natwest, A + L etc offer already. You can also contact the FSA who should be able to suggest a few others, alternatively, you can look on their website. Remember, that information on these forums does not constitute legal or financial advice, and therefore you should explore all options before making your own decision. I hope for your sake this site is legit and that you have not lost money. Best of luck.
My opinions are just that opinions! Always seek legal and financial advice from a professional :)

In all honesty, you may get a basic account - but any bank will usually not charge you for this service. This company is just an unnecessary middle man in my opinion - hopefully they will give you an account of sorts, but I'd HIGHLY recommend you read their t & cs on their website.

Hello All. I've been busy and not able to look at the postings. Again, and at the risk of being flammed by people who haven't actually tried the company concerned, I did use them and it worked for me. I have also just enquired about a car contract and that is being sorted. If something does what it says, and isn't either illegal or unprofessional, how on earth can it be a scam? I think people posting such comments are being downright reckless. Some people need help if, like me, they don't have the time to trawl for the information needed and don't want to have unnecessary applications refused. No matter what your personal opinions, let people find out for themselves. As to "backfoot", he/she doesn't state whether they got what they applied for, and if not, whether they got their money back. Of course, it could be a malicious attempt to rubbish what is, in my opinion as a returning customer or theirs, a good service. No doubt the rumble will continue. Iggy

Iggy We are willing to believe you - we've asked you to explain the process you underwent; why it's worth paying for; what you actually giot at the end of it (as in what sort of account with which bank) We only know that you managed to get a gold credit card account, and, seeing as I have a platinum credit card which I applied for a month ago and my finances are wrecked, achiving that shouldn't be very difficult. You keep repeating the same platitudes, but you don't back it up with any honest testimony as to what exactly they have done for you. You started off with a spate of posts on any suitable thread, and, in all your replies, the impression that you are giving is not of a satisfied customer, but, rather, of a desperate advertiser. You've said that this isn't illegal; well, I am not convinced of that. It certainly seems to obviate the spirit, if not the letter of the law, and the credit scoring procedures that are put in place to protect lenders and borrowers alike. And the site is unprofessional; as has been said, glaring spelling errors are there and theTs&Cs seems unlikely. Do you have more than a basic bank account? What facilities do you have available to you? How was this achieved if your credit score was so poor? What did they do, and what did you have to do? Why is this a service that is worth paying for; what can they assist you with that you could not do for yourself? If you can answer these questions and the others that have been posed to you, then we might feel able to trust what you are telling us. We see all lot of people coming to these boards in distress at their financial predicament, and some of us giove up much of our time to assist them. We are therefore protective of our Community and determined that information that is provided to it is honest and genuine. Whenever it seems that is not the case, we will be sceptical, but there isn't one of us, I am certain, who would not be more than willing to apologise to you if you are able to supply us with some more detailed evidence of why you are recommending this website. I have already said that I apologise if I am misjudging you, but your behaviour thus far has not been typical of a happy client, and, even though we have explained our mistrust to you, you still keep saying the same old stuff. If you've had a problem with your credit rating, and your banking, then you should be more than willing to understand why we feel so defensive. If you really have been there, you would understand completely. Cat

Cat I whole heartedly agree with everything you say here. The thing is, people who are genuinely in financial difficulty (like me) come here for genuine advice in a secure environment. Unfortunately, alarm bells do ring when people post comments that seem a little ambiguous - or in some way, do not ring true.
Many of my fears would be allayed if Iggy would state WHICH bank he has been given an account with, and, as you say, state EXACTLY what this "company" has done for him. "Do you have more than a basic bank account? What facilities do you have available to you? How was this achieved if your credit score was so poor? What did they do, and what did you have to do? Why is this a service that is worth paying for; what can they assist you with that you could not do for yourself?"
This can be resolved quickly and easily when he decides to be more forthcoming with this information!

I'd like to point out that I have only commented on my personal experience. My own circumstances are/were that I have bad credit and needed a bank account that wan't a basic account. For me, paying a fee for someone to point me in the right direction was well worth it. Some people will differ in their opinion. It worked for me, I dare say some will be less lucky. I suppose at the end of the day, no one can absolutely guarantee acceptance for banking etc, but I don't think that is what they're doing. They are just saying that you'll get your money back if you don't. I took a punt, it worked and I'm happy. A friend of mine also applied (see my previous posts). He had an IVA and also got an account. Again, I'd like to point out that these are personal experiences. From what I can find out (I know people), this seems to be a reputable company with other businesses other than the lesstha.... one: recruitment and property is the information I have. Only companies dealing with mortgages are FSA regulated, this one isn't and doesn't need to be. That's not strange at all.

Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk
I dont usually take part in these discussions but I felt I had to post this. I have used this company before and they were fine. I got a personal account and one for my business. Although I was refused the first time on the business account, I took their advice and asked for it to be reconsidered and it was accepted second time around. The service they provided was very useful for me and it did exactly what it says on the tin.

Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk
Dear all, for the last week i have watched & read with enthusiasm the growing debate on less than perfect & Iggy. After reading his first post I looked up said company & also felt that there was something not quite right. After researching I came across the Norwich & Peterbrough gold account ( i simply entered gold account into google), I also noticed Binks post mentioning this bank. On Friday I applied & today have been accepted. Yes i do have bad credit also. So i ask the following question(s) Iggy, why when asked which bank, have you insisted on singing this companies praises & not just tell other postees what the name of the bank is? If as you say you have been in financial difficulty, why would you want to attempt to force other people to spend their hard earned cash, when you could save them £99? I know if it were I I would not hesitate to help save others money!! So there it is Norwich & Peterbrough is the answer to the question Iggy has failed to answer on countless times!!!

Re: Less Than Perfect.co.uk
Hello All, I too have been following this thread avidly because I too am in a situation where I need the ability to operate a business bank account. I was even nearly tempted to use the aforementioned internet service but following boo72's comments, then gave them a call. They took my details and said they would send a form in the post. boo72, even though at this stage they did not ask about my circumstances, is there anything you found difficult when you applied for this account. My main requirement would simply be to have an account to pay cheques into and IDEALLY a cheque book to pay suppliers with. I don't really want credit at this stage. Are you in the same position? Is the account suitable? If all goes well then I should be up and running having saved £99 so thanks to boo72 for the information!
