Double check this but the answer used to be no problem as long as you notify both companies and they agree.

    Hi,

You won't be able to insure the car on 2 separate policies I'm afraid. It is always a real pain starting the NCD going but you've got to start somewhere. If he can't be a named driver then he could be the policyholder and you as a named driver with your NCD. This may prove to be the best way to insure both of you on the same car and will also help to build up hubby's NCD because it has to happen some time and it might as well be now???

    Regards
