Can anyone inform me of a simple Offshore Current Account.  By simple I mean an account an account which offers all the normal services:

Cheque book

debit card

standing orders/Direct Debits etc

without conditions like  a minimum amount of  £5000 balance etc.  to maintain the account.

 Any information would be highly appreciated.

Looking for the same information. Anybody have any suggestions? If the interest rate is decent, I don't mind a minimum balance requirement.

I used to have an HSBC high interest current account in Guernsey. There is a £2000 min balance to get the high interest rate, but I think you could go below that if the rate was not a problem. (the account is still around, wife has one) I opened it in a local branch in England.

I tried to find it but I couldn't. Do you have a link to a website with its features/application page? When I go to HSBC offshore webpage I find very little info and certainly no high interest current account with debit card etc. Thanks.

Hi, as said I opened it in a branch (1985) so no websites around at the time. Possibly not available to new customers, Why not ask in branch?
