I have spoken to solicitor and she says they don't have to decide what they are going to do till I don't complete in December. I thought that if I told them and they had the opportunity to put back on market, they would be more reasonable.

Can anyone help. I put a deposit on an off-plan property in Manchester 18months ago. I put my flat on the market at £159000 no-one has viewed. reduced it to £130,000 still no-one has viewed. On top of that I have been moved to Devon. I have just over two months ago explained to developers that I will not be completeing in December, knowing I would lose my deposit of £11,000. They are now saying that there will probably be charges, plus if sold for less I may have to pay difference. I have started looking for a mortgage knowing that I don't think I can afford. what can I do. Yes I did read the small print and 18 months ago houses were selling.
