    Zeb:

Lou77:, you will see an option for the best deals with your score.

These are only the companies that sponsor or pay Experian the most money, they are no better qualified to give finance to a specific person as any other company that is not listed....they are just Experian's "preferred" choice of company

Ah, yes of course, that would make sense! You make a very valid point, one which I probably did not even consider! Mostly I find Experian helpful in seeing where we are with creditors, and ensuring our credit rating remains good or excellent. I have found that most of the information on the site has been competitive, but I understand that this probably not always the case!

Depending on which company you used to check your score, I use Experian, you will see an option for the best deals with your score. Also, within your detailed report, it will tell you how much credit is open to you.

    Re: Noob question

Well the only way to find out is to apply for one and see what happens. Each card application is subject to acceptance by the card issuer, so nobody on Moneysupermarket can tell you whether your application will be accepted or not.

    Noob question

So I checked my credit score and it's like 799
and I already have a credit card and overdraft
Less than £3000 in total that I live in.
I am looking to apply for another card because I'm going away for a month.
Am I likely to get refused on a card for around £1500?
I don't really understand the whole system. Thanks in advance
