    Re: No claims ?

Yeah I get that but it's really no right but that was not the reason I posted I just saying its another way the insurance have of ripping us off if they only take 5 years why doesn't the no claims stop after 5 years but I was posting to find out if it was possible to some how combine my van and car no claims as looking to sell one but don't want to lose the no claims if I don't have say a van for 2 years then I would lose my 5 years I have on my van policy which I don't really want to do seen as insurance is stupidly priced already

    Re: No claims ?

You normally lose 2 years off the max NCB they allow, following a fault claim. So if you had 8 years claim free, but they only use 5 for discounting, then you would go down to 3 years. This should all be set out in your policy documents.
