We have just moved house and are on a dual gas electricity direct debit account with British Gas. I've done the comparison on this website to see if we are with the best company but am completely confused. On the one hand the site says British Gas will give me the best deal on Energy five but my latest letter from British Gas is that I should fixed until 2011 the comparison for the fix shows an increase on my bill. What is Energy five, I haven't a clue how to sort this out. It seems from the website that people are saying BG don't have a good customer service department so perhaps I'll not get much help from them in explaining what all this is. Reading some of the answers on this site it appears that people seem to know quite a bit about the energy problems of our country so I thought someone might help me out with my query.
My husband and I are retired so need to save whatever we can. Oh by the way I am now also completely confused about the energy 7 electricity times, we had thought it started at 12 midnight and finished at 6 am, haven't had a bill yet so don't know how this as affected us.
