    New Phone Line

I have recently moved into a property, which has an internal phone line installed (i.e. Sockets and Internal Wiring),
but has never been registered with BT or any other provider. BT are stating that it will cost £124.99 installation cost to
connect the property. I am wondering if there is an alternative to this cost, as i am only going to be living there for 6 months, but need the phone line for Broadband use.

I am unable to get cable though.

    Regards

    Kaz

    Re: New Phone Line

    Hello kasim,

Sadly without a BT master NTE activation can cost a £100+ even through other companies who will get a discount from BT this cost won't go below a £100. Also Given the fact that the cheapest cancellation cost I know of inside 12 months is £40 you may be better of with dial up until a 12 month commitment can be made.

BT Open zone might be better for you, if you own a laptop for £10 a month you can access the internet in hotspots near you.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news.

    Mike.
