    Re: New phone

If you only need call minutes and text messages
without a new phone, call Vodafone 30 days before the end of your contract and
tell them to convert your line to pay-as-you-go at the end of your contract,
they will like to keep your business and will offer you a contract for about a
tenner a month with your present phone. (Depends on your bargaining power)

But if you need a new phone, take the route
    advised by Rob.

My mate got a 12 month contract of 400 mins
and 100 texts for a tenner a month on three with his old phone.

    Hi

One of the cheapest tariffs at the moment is the 3 network - £15 Video Talk 500, this includes 500 mins any time any network voice calls per month. If you text regularly then maybe the £15 talker tariff would be better - this has 250 mins any time any network and 50 texts per month. There are a limited range of decent handsets. You can access these deals via our search tool on the mobiles homepage

You are unlikely to get a lower priced monthly contract unless you step into the cashback offers...

     regards

I have an 18 month contract with vodaphone at the moment, but it is due to run out and I am thinking of switching contracts. I was wondering if anyone knows of the cheapest deal for texts and calls pay monthly. I don't spend more than £20, which is how much my current contract is. I would like to go cheaper if possible, but I am dubious about the cashback offers. Any advice?
