It is possible that the electricity and gas suppliers might either ask for a deposit or pre-payment meters.

I would guess that the water is just turned off at the stopcock (have a look under the kitchen sink and anywhere where pipes enter the property).

I am about to move into my first flat. The Landlords have just bought it, and the electricity, water and gas are cut off since last tennants/owners.

Does anybody know how i go about finding out who the old supplier was and /or reinstating with new companies...
