shoogiesco: Hello
Me and My partner are looking to open a joint account, we both currently have accounts at two different banks but would like a joint one. we both have overdrafts that we use more often than not these together are 950. our total income together is just less than 2000.
I was looking around for best deals and find that AanL deal is better for free overdraft of up to 2500 for first year, thing is tho will they match the overdraft for both of us together
thank you for any answers or any other feedback
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Abbey also will match an existing O/D you have but not sure how it works on a joint application if you don't have a joint account with that O/D already...if they score you and it doesn't offer it for a solo account, if you show them the current O/D you have, they fax it to underwriters at Abbey's main applications and provisioning of applications office and usually match it for you.
Dependant on whether it shows your overdraft on your credit report or not, they may or may not match, depending on whether they know about it and or deem you have too much in borrowing.
They also have a 0% rate for the first year, i think that's upto £2500.
Hope that helps. :)
