New car to look more business like

I am currently starting a new job which involves going to various businesses. I am driving a renault clio (2002 extreme) but feel its time to get something that looks professional. I dont mind getting a used car and am looking at a budget of 15k. I dont have access at work to any other sites other than moneysupermarket.

Any ideas with a price range would be greatly appreciated

I think you'd find the New Mondeo within your budget. Very good car now, IMO better than Passat, A4, BMW 3 in terms of value, quality and equipment. Worth a look. Or save a third of your budget and get a 12month old last shape Mondeo or similar. Still capable cars...

Thanks for your help jj :) To be honest though i've never been keen on the ford cars found them a bit ugly, gf had a KA and things were always going wrong with it. Does the new mondeo look a lot different from the old mondeo model? I do like the look of some mercedes but feel they are likely to be 20k+

You can't compare a Ka with a Mondeo! LOL. Yeah, the new one's completely different than the old one. Quality has improved and there's bags of technology.

The worst thing Ford done when they built this new Mondeo was call it Mondeo.

Look into a second hand Honda Accord like the 2.2 I-CDTI Sport Diesel Saloon model and pay for a private dateless registration number still within your budget, it will look new and be impressive, only you will know the difference when you roll up looking all professional. !!!

Looked at review on Accord the small section from top gear also recommends what you say about getting the CDTI. Be interesting to see what the insurance comes out at lol but might be able to claim off company expenses, auto traders delayed till tomorrow gutted because i cant see how these cars look till tonight. Any more ideas people for when i get home?
