    Re: new car service plans

Depends on all manner of things:-

    1. What model car ? - eg is it a basic Corsa or a Porsche?

    2. Whether you are the sort of person who services your car every 6 months anyway?

    3. How much the plan is and (exactly) what it covers and , more importantly, doesn't cover.

    4. Is it a main franchised dealer ?- do you currently get your car serviced there? If so, are you happy with their performance?

    5. If you haven't used the garage for servicing before do you know someone who has and is satisfied?

How long is a piece of string???

replacement or servicing outwith the standard manufacturer’s service schedule (including

    Re: new car service plans

Presuming that the manufacturers service schedule is annual or 12000 miles and as long as that includes routine service parts eg plugs, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter and oil then that seems a good price for 3 annual services at a main dealer ie £ 116 per time - I've just paid ~ £115 for an annual service at a small independent garage on a small car.The downside is that you are tied to that dealer - OK as long as you don't move and don't want to sell the car in the first 3 years.
