    Re: New Broadband

taffphillips - I'll read with interest with thread as I'm planning to move away from my Virgin Media bundle pretty soon, possible to Sky.

In the interim I've done some homework and it seems to me unless you go for a cable company (i.e. VM, who own their telecomm cables etc), most of the other ISP's piggy bank off BT (Bulldog being the worst example) - Have you considered using BT (as the (would be), new owner of your line - to arrange your telephone and broadband and stick to Sky for ......well Sky. It seems to me this way you get to use both companies who own and run their services. BT Vision (etc), seems pretty good value and Sky, at the moment, seems also good value or even get a Preview box/telelvision and drop Sky unless you like the sports , additional channels etc. From my view I'm not convinced using an ISP/Sky who piggy back of BT offers any real advantages  - that's probably opened a can of worms !!

I think you you may need to crawl, Oliver Twist styley, back to BT - however, as always I crawl to corrected...

    Re: New Broadband

    Hello taffphillips,

Sadly to get the best deals you will need a BT line, I would advise a Mad-as-a-fish line as its cheaper setup, per month, comes with free E&W calls and has better customer services.

Give me a call to discuss this further or call me once you have a line set up so I can help you find the best broadband deal.

    Good Luck and Kind Regards,

    Michael.

    New Broadband

I like many others I suspect fell for the Talk Talk revolution some 18 months ago( expires tomorrow - yipeeeee) and threw all my eggs into one basket, phone line, phone calls and broadband.  I am now sourcing a new broadband and phone call provider but many of them cannot transfer me (sky and O2) because I do not have a BT line.  Is there any quick fix for this apart from having to creep back to BT and ask for them to take over my line rental for a few weeks and then source a new provider?

    Thanks
