    Twee,

In that case, WMP11/12, Itunes, Winamp etc will all let you rip to MP3 at that rate. And they wont wimp out like Nero 9 does! :P

What about buying another USB hard drive which are getting cheaper all the time?

They are available from pcworld from about 35 - 55 for a reasonable size.

    Re: Nero 9 problems

I am using Vista and the reason that I am converting MP3s to WMAs is to squeeze them up to save in my "Skydrive"

    I have around 50Gb of MP3s !!

    Re: Nero 9 problems

    Hi Twee,

What OS are you using? If it's XP, use Media Player 11. Nero 9 is really not up to scratch in my opinion and causes more problems than it fixes. Media Player or Itunes or Winamp etc etc are all fully capable of converting at the same quality.

Out of interest, why are you converting to 64kbps? If it's for your music player, i wouldn't bother, MP3s at that rate sound terrible, you should be converting them to 320kbps.

Is Windows Media Player 11 or Media Money not up to this conversion ?

    Twee

If you search online the story is that Nero 9 is full of bugs and a lot people have given up and uninstalled it. Apparently earlier versions prior to release 8 are much more reliable.

    Nero 9 problems

Has anyone else come across a Nero 9 problem - in that when trying to batch convert a lot of MP3's to WMA's

I am trying to convert to 64kbps

The system gives up after half a dozen sucessful conversions and gives an error - no matter what the file size I am converting !!

My PC is a high spec quad core Pentium with 4Gb RAM before anyone queries this .....
