Need an additional current account, but with who?

Need an additional current account, but with who?

I'm currently engaged in an IVA to sort out the bad choices of my youth.

I have, however, found a way to make some additional income, bonus bragging and spread betting.

Problem is, I somehow doubt my IVA company would be too happy with payments to and from online gambling sites appearing on my bank statement.

So I am thinking about opening up a secondary bank account just for the extra money making.

Will the IVA make this difficult now? Who would you recommend that would be able to supply me with a debit card that can be used online?

    Cheers

"bad choices of my youth" - you need to grow up before you get into more financial trouble.

You'll find that I have learnt from the mistakes I made 6 years ago thanks, I'm not 20 any more, hence why I got the IVA to get things back on track.

Bonus bragging offer minimal risk, I did it for a while back in 2005 and netted £500. The only reason I stopped is because I got a girlfriend, and couldn't put the needed time into it.

I have spare time again, and am paying more for my room than when I took out the IVA, so the extra cash will help not throw my life off kilt (IVA's only get reviewed annually, so my new living arrangements won't affect my repayments until next year).

But thanks for your sterling advice, I'll be sure to grow up first before anything else.

I must be dense - I haven't a clue what bonus bragging is.

I know what spread betting is.

I don't know why you need to tell us either fact in a simple request as to which adverse credit bank account might suit you most. And surely it would be just as simple to use a pre-paid credit card to make your payments to your online gambling company?

So I'm not sure why you're asking.

Please explain "bonus bragging" especially as you say it's minimal risk, could be of interest to many on here. I am retired so could spare the necessary time.

    Circumstances alters cases!!

Re: Need an additional current account, but with who?

I wouldn't have thought that you could use pre-paid credit cards for online gambling, as withdrawing the winnings wouldn't work.

The reason I mentioned bonus bragging was because the first replier was rude, and I assumed he was having a dig at my choice of making some extra money.

BB - Bonus bragging is when you use matched bonuses that some sites give you when you sign up and make a deposit, You withdraw your initial deposit, then play Blackjack using a specific method with a good rate of success, keeping the bets low. After an hour or 2 of playing, you git the threshold to withdraw the bonus, and net yourself any profits. Should you lose all your bonus, which is unlikely if you follow the system to the tee, you still haven't actually lost any money, just some of your free time. I did it whilst watching tv or playing games.

Right; that'd be something like card counting I imagine.

There'll be a limited supply of sites you can do this on though...

Re: Need an additional current account, but with who?

Sort of, but card counting relies on keeping track of what cards have already been dealt, and the odds of ones to be dealt.

This system is pure probability based on a full deck being dealt, what you have, and what the dealer has.

Sites can't prevent it, worst case scenario is they make Blackjack bets count less towards the wager requirements, like half, or a quarter, and this just means it will take longer to get to where you want to be.

Advice on another forum is pointing me towards Citibank for this, so thanks anyway.
