    Re: NAC Warranty

Next time it's worth genning up on how to judge a car then buying one for a few hundred pounds so that, if things do go badly wrong, you can dump the car at your local scrap yard and simply walk away.

If you want your fuel injectors fixing, you should forget about spending £1500. Buy a Haynes manual for £10, and do it yourself in an afternoon. £1500 would buy a replacement car like mine three times over so there's no way that you should follow up any quote of that order just for cleaning or replacing the fuel injectors. I'm not surprised that any claim for that sort of money got rejected.

If you don't want to do the job yourself, I would expect that a mobile engine tuner type person would come to your home and identify the problem for, maybe, £30 per hour and then give you a quote for fixing the problem. Unless you've got some fancy car, any problem with the fuel injectors can be fixed with two or three hours labour at most. Whatever you do though, when talking to any engineer, don't talk as though the world would stop turning without fuel injectors. They are a minor component that sometimes fails.

    NAC Warranty

    Hi,

In August 2010 I brought a car from carcraft Chertsey, as there was no service history book I asked for proof of previous services before I took out their NAC warranty, they explained that there was no service history but they had completed the most recent service (37,000). they said they if I needed a copy of the service report to just get in touch with them

I took out the warranty, as I thought It would be piece of mind

I had the car service at 50,000 inline with the manufacturer’s recommendations and then it suffered a major engine malfunction where the fuel injectors had failed, the repair would cost £1500.

NAC declined the claim as there was no previous service history and car craft do not hold any previous service history about the car including the alleged service they completed.

So I now have no car, 4 years 4 months payments left on the car and the NAC payments,

Car craft have not responded to any of my emails since telling me they do not have any of service history,

I am so upset it is beyond belief

If anyone has any advice I would love to hear

    thanks
