Hi, just wanted to drop a quick post to say thanks to Complete Finance, Ian for help and advice given on this forum. We had it confirmed today that we get the keys to our new home on Friday.

Everything is now confirmed and we are ready to go. So much so that the solicitor has requested and has the mortgage funds already so we can get entry first thing in the morning. We didn't think this will happen till the day however it's good as it avoids any last minute delays.

Thanks Ian. Is it normal for the solicitor to request and obtain the funds a couple of days before you get the keys?

Hi...funds are requested 3-5 days before because it takes that long to get them. If the funds are in the solicitor client account for some time you can actually claim the interest earned over that period. But that would be cheeky;)
