    Re: Motor insurance for women

Yes, my previous posts were deleted for offensive terms and for talking about zoes menstrul cycle, my aologies. My point was though that looking at the profile I found it very odd she seems obsessed with womens car insurance and keep trying to mock men about this. I was saying in the last email that yes some young men in some countries pay slightly more for car insurance but we pay less for everything else, hair, clothes, makeup, toiletiries even underwear and that women pay more for health insurance, PPI and have lower annuities for the same reasons as some men in some countries get more expensive car insurance and undoubtedly a lot of women do get ripped off by mechanics, also in many countires women arent even allowed to drive. The average men also gets paid £6000 more then women (in senior management this rises to £24000 so what exactly is the effect of insurance lol?). Men pass with an average of 14 lessons less then women (quite a saving if your a man!) and have a higher pass rate; men take 1.7 attempts to pass while women tak 2.4

and the inferior driving abilities of women is why there are no women in F1 or even F2,F3,GP2 or rallying, motsport etc. and why women are twice as likely to crash at junctions then men and infact are more likely to crash then men (but as they are at lower speeds are less likely to claim so are better to insure).

I brought this up as you don’t see men making threads about this and why doesn’t she discuss this if she is so bent on womens car insurance. And speaking of insurance, what affect has it actually had on men? One of the reasons women get cheaper insurance is that there are less women drivers and they have less milage so men drive MORE then women. There are 17.2 million men compared to 14 million women with liscences in the UK (in some countries the number of women is 0 as females are not allowed to drive in many countries) and men have a whopping 74% more milage in the US. Men are passing at higher rates then women and with less lessons (men take 1.7 attemps to pass compared to 2.12 for women in the UK and on average men take 14 less lessons, (quite a nice saving if you’re a man I’d say!). That’s a UK stat but it is a world wide trend, even in Italy where I’m from. In some parts of the US women are twice as likely as men to fail). As more women drive there will be more crashes by simple probabillty calculations infact in the period 1973 to 2003 womens fatalities INCREASED by 14% while mens actually DECREASED by 11% also as more women become lorry drivers, taxi drivers etc. and there will be more women there will be more crashes. The main reasons young women get cheaper car insurance is that young women (and older) drive smaller, cheaper, less powerful cars and there is nothing wrong with that if that’s what women want. Men still drive faster, more powerful, modified cars and are much more likely to driver super/hyper cars but that’s what we want just as women will pay more for shoes, makeup, clothes and feminine toiletries – that’s what they want. Taxi drivers, bus drivers, lorry drivers, stunt men, driving instructors, even pilots, captains, tank drivers, soldiers, seamen etc. are men. Men and only men are winning F1, F2, F3, rallying, a nice bit of money if you’re a man! Men even invented the car! Men are the ones who use vehicles to be the first men on the moon, space, to discover this country, that country etc. So what exactly is your point about car insurance??

Also think about it logically. Your making fun because men pay more for car insurance in some countries – well we dont the only time we really pay a mentionable amount more is for teen drivers … Lol and who pays for that? Lol its the parents and if your parents pay more for your lets say brother then it is affecting you just as much - your parents spending more on insurance when they could have spent it on your family.

Lol you really weren't think logically today were you?

    Re: Motor insurance for women

The company we haven't mentioned is diamond. They are exclusively for women and are said to offer a great deal for women drivers. The adverts are pathetic but many ladies i know believe diamond to be useful and quite often cheap, although i have never tried them myself. I think any woman trying to get the best car insurance should try all these female favouring companies. I am constantly looking for new ones and will post any i find.

    Re: Motor insurance for women

I went with a company called covergirl. They saved me 60 pounds so i was delighted. Cover girl don't allow men their own policy, but you can put them on as a named driver. They were excellent for me becuase as a young female driver, they realise i don't want to pay for the mistakes of boy racers.

    Re: Motor insurance for women

Some insurers who claim to be cheaper for women are no cheaper for Women. Sheilas wheels seem to be an excpetion. Good for them. I find that by insuring my wifes car with the same insurer as me, I was quoted very happy indeed!

    Re: Motor insurance for women

I bought my policy through the new sheilas wheels company. It was about £25 cheaper than the cheapest quote I could find plus it includes £300 handbag cover that most other insurance companies didn't include! I was able to put my husband on it too as an additional driver.
