Very unlikely. Depends on the country and your residential status. It *is* however possible to get 100% funding of the project through re-mortgaging a current property to get a deposit and then taking out a 70% (ish) mortgage overseas. Be aware though that the overseas mortgage market isn't nearly as developed as the UK market, and "self-cert" mortgages are much more difficult to come by.

Many thanks,,,,, I s'pose if it was that easy, everyone would be doing it ! I am a bit too old (58) & now disabled, to get a mortgage in the U.K, & being a bit disillusioned by this Country, was thinking of making a move - before it's way too late !!! ((I could be persuded to consider anything at the moment ???)) Thanks again - Furkin

Actually, you can get a mortgage in this country no problem. There are a number of lenders who will lend up to an over 85 years old. An independent advisor should be able to help you with that.

It's difficult for me to give you any advice, as advertising isn't allowed on this forum. I would start by trying to find an independent broker such as ourselves who can do a proper assessment of your situation.
