This mortgage was with the yorkshire building society which we put in principle in feb/ march of this year on there offset mortgage.
Their current rate on a fixed i believe is in the mid 5's.
If you are buying a new home - we are with c&G (lloyds tsb) and they have offered a portal mortage that allows our current mortage to be transfered i.e at 2.5% var rate and the balance unfortunatly on 6.7% - this does give me a saving of 35.00 per month, but with the costs of the mortage the overall cost is higher, so not for us, but who knows as everyones circumstances are different.
