Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
backfoot, Sorry late response. Very busy time of year so been out of office alot recently. The issue was identified to be a duplication of VAT meaning the figure came out cheaper than it should. This work has been raised and is due to go live next week. The calculator is a very complex piece of software but i'm confident this issue has now been resolved correctly. Obviously you know how much I value your opinions and support and so please accept my apologise for my delay in responding to this. Kind regards,

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Kev, Thank you. It appears that I have leapt to the wrong conclusion. I apologise for that. It still would have been nice for MS to have advised on the outcome, then I may not have done what I have. Cheers.

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Graeme, BG have finally contacted me advising of the price increase on CE5. I need to change Supplier within 14 days in order to avoid the increase backdated to September. As you know,I spotted a difference in the quote provided by MS to other Switching Providers and I raised it here in order to be helpful to yourselves and other potential customers. That was on October 15th. Investigations were apparently commenced but as you can see no constructive resolution has been received over a month later. I checked the quote again last night and see the quotation has now changed to fall into line with the other providers.I don't know from what date the system was changed? For an organisation to pride itself on Customer Service, which I presume you do, could you please explain how my query fits into this? It does make you wonder why I bothered, not just here but also throughout the last couple of years.

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Hi backfoot, I've been following this and have spoken to Scott for you on a few occasions. I'm afraid the investigation is still ongoing. He is aware that you're eager for a reply but it wouldn't be right to comment until we have something specific and definite to report, I'm afraid. It is being looked at as a priority though. He's out of the office until next week, but rest assured I'll keep pushing him to keep you updated as soon as it is possible.

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Scott Byrom: backfoot, There is an ongoing investigation to get to the bottom of this issue. It appears there is a discrepancy in the calculation surrounding the discount thresholds and applying them to the relevant number of units. I will post a response as soon as I have any more to go on. Where did he go? As a Price Comparison site, I would have thought this was a fundamental core issue. Oh well. Even long term supporters can get hacked off .

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Scott, It's a full week since I raised this.It concerns me greatly that customers may be choosing the wrong option for their Supplier. Why is it so difficult to sort out? At least one of the accredited organisations has got it wrong and it should be a priority matter to get it resolved.Following the C4 Dispatches programme,I would imagine you are getting a rush of searches/switches. I personally have decisions to make and it's costing me money waiting for the best advice.

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Scott Byrom: I'll be honest with you...we don't know why there is a discrepancy. I can however confirm that I have carried out an audit of other comparison sites and unfortunately it would appear that for the CE6 product using your specific search criteria, there is a discrepancy. I have asked British Gas to shine some light on this to see what the correct figure should be. As soon as I have this I'll let you know. And.........?

Re: MoneySupermarket vs Energy Helpline
Checked on Uswitch and Energylinx. They both come out with £711.
