CitiBank have Euro, Dollar and Sterling accounts which you can transfer funds between and a debit card in either currency to make free withdrawals..........if you don't need bank accounts but merely a card for holiday travel check out the new card with FairFx, this is a Euro card (also dollars I think) that you can load, on-line, with your sterling debit card at a good rate. It also offers some security in that you only need to load what you need and you can top up whenever or wherever you want.....

Depends where you are travelling if using the Nationwide Flex Account debit card. In Europe there are no fees but if going further afield like US, Asia and Oz/NZ then they charge the basic handling fee passed on by Visa which is 1% for eityher purchases or withdrawals. A list of countries is available by going to the site page below. A Nationwide Cash Card (basic bank account) does not carry a charge at ATM's but canot be used at restaurants and other retailers, the Flex account debit card is much better and I use mine extensively through different continents.

There are some credit cards which still have a 0% charge for purchases but they whack you for cash withdrawals.

Does anyone know the best bank/account for using overseas? I've heard Nationwide do an account that does not charge you for cash withdrawals or purchases when overseas.
