    Re: Mobiles2yourdoor

May not be related to cash back deal but i have had big problems with their free gifts! Complaint:

BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO A CONTRACT WITH MOBILES2YOUR DOOR STOP AND READ THIS!!!!!!!! I am one of the regrettable customers to have passed my custom their way. I committed to a deal which involved me commiting to an 18 month contract with Orange on the Dolphin 35 plan (£35 pm). In return I would get a Motorola K1 and a free gift, which in this instance was a Playstation 3. I signed up at the end of July 07 and I received my phone and a starter pack within days, very efficient. Within the starter pack it advised me that my free gift would be sent 28 days after phone had been connected and then allow further 7 days for delivery. I estimated this to be the start of October. It is now nearly December 07 and I have yet to receive the free gift. At no point has mobiles2yourdoor contacted me to advise it is out of stock; if it has been sent and returned or any update on the status. Instead I have had to chase up and make numerous calls. Although the operators are friendly enough I have been fed hollow promise after hollow promise and I am invetiably told it will be with you next week. This has been the case on the last 5 calls I have made to them. I have issued a letter of complaint with a deadline to deliver the PS3 by. If it has not received I will be seeking advice. I have also opened a case with Trading Standards and passed on my story to BBC Watchdog. The deals are very good and tempting but I would seriously consider alternative retailers, if i was able to cancel the contract I would but I cannot because it is with Orange and not mobiles2yourdoor so I have no contractual rights with them. Sign up at your peril!

    Re: Mobiles2yourdoor

    Hi

I have been doing cash back deals for years, with many different companies. I found my experience with Mobiles2yourdoor to be awful. I placed my order via the next Friday 31st Oct, everything seem to go through fine. Despite the guaranteed next day policy the paperwork arrived Tuesday but with no handset. I called the customer service line on Wed 5th Nov to have the handset delivered, I was informed that due to a system error the handset had not been set out by the warehouse.

He could not send the handset as according to the system the order had been sent out and had been cancelled! I would have to place the order agin on the internet, so I did. Later that day I recieved an e-mail to say due to system errors Mobiles2yourdoor they would like to confirm how many orders / handsets I required. I called back and confirmed the order.

Several days later, still no phone I call the customer services on Sat 8th Nov, you've guessed it due to system issues orders were being duplicated. Not wanting to send out 2 orders they cancelled my order, even though I phoned to confirm. Louise Beardman advised that I should place the order again on the internet!!!

The staff are rude, I was left holding for ages, they would not helpful and refused to log my complaint as the sales team do not have a complaints process!

I was not allowed to place a formal complaint and was left on hold for over an hour! Not wishing to waste any more time or money on them I'm going back to my previous phone company.
