My mobile phone insurers asked me to confirm the IMEI number I wish to claim against. My phone has been in twice for repair due to becoming faulty in the last 12 months and the IMEI number has changed 3 times. The original IMEI was held by my insurers but not the latest number, as it appears T-Mobile did not pass this information on.
NB: The insurers have copies of all my documents relating to my repairs so are aware of all 3 IMEI numbers. Yet they have asked me confirm the IMEI number I wish to claim against. I think they are looking for an excuse not to pay out. Is this standard practice or am I being paranoid?
