    I think that you are slightly confused regarding the insurance and the repair. You of course are entitled to a repair, if it can be fixed. You mentioned that the board is damaged? Well that is probably why you have not received your handset, its because its not fixable! You must have received a letter in the post to notify you of this I guess.. I know I did.

    Now its time to use the insurance. Dont get it confused with the repair centre. Its a good job that you have the insurance otherwise you would really be stuck now. When they could not fix my phone, I rang the insurance company and they liased with the repair centre and got me a new phone sent out. Yes I had to pay the £50 excess, but its insurance for gods sake.. I have a £1000 car with a £300 excess. You have a £400 phone with a £50 excess. Thats just how it is im afraid.


    In summary, yes I have had problems with the repair centre, but only because they phone was unfixable.. now is that their fault. I think you are just bitter because things have not gone your way! I feel for you but it could and would have happened in any company. I have used Phones4U (and one not far from the High Wycombe store actually) for the last 5 years.. and im not going to change.

    74 DAYS : EXACTLY 2,5 MONTHS PHONES 4U STILL DID NOT RETURN MY PHONE BACK FROM THEIR PHONE REPAIR CENTRE (mprc) ... STILL WAITING......

    I SENT MY PHONE FOR REPAIR ON 4TH OF AUGUST AND THEY SENT ME BACK ON 18TH AUGUST WITH FURTHER DAMAGES ON MY PHONE:I.E KEYPAD NOT WORKING, SPRING ISNIDE MISSING..RADIO ARIAL MISSING..SCRACTCHES ALL OVER MY SONY ERICSSON W950I PHONE..  I SENT THE PHONE BACK ON THE SAME DAY ON 18TH AUGUST 2007 ...YES ALL THAT HAPPENED IN PHONES 4U REPAIR CENTRE, MPRC, AND THEY ADMITTED THAT THEY CAUSED DAMAGE TO MY PHONE.. BUT THEY STILL DID NOT SEND ME MY PHONE BACK..

    ON THEIR CONTRACT IT SAYS:

    ''..WHERE POSSIBLE, WE AIM TO RETURN YOUR PHONE REPAIRED WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS..''

    IS THIS THE CASE?? NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

    74 DAYS PASSED... STILL I DON'T HAVE MY PHONE BACK...THEY SAID TO ME TODAY THEY WILL SEND IT BACK BUT PHONE MOTHERBOARD WILL STILL BE FAULTY...

    IF YOU HAVE PHONES 4U INSURANCE.. CANCEL YOUR PHONES4U INSURANCE....MY SUGGESTION.... IF YOU HAVE SENT YOUR MOBILEPHONE FOR REPAIR AT PHONES4U  MOBILE PHONE DAMAGE CENTRE..OOOPS I MEANT THEIR REPAIR CENTRE....... MAYBE YOU WILL GET IT BACK  GOD KNOWS MAYBE IN NEXT MILLENIUM.....

    Guess what happened ?? After All the trouble I went throu with Phones 4u, MPRC repair centre of Phones 4u. ( please read above)

    They sent my phone back unreapaired today: BUT!!!!!!!

    Phones 4u damaged my phone furher at their repair centre.

    Keypad not working, spring inside missing. completely scratched radio arial missing.. Yes all these happened at Phones 4u repair centre when I sent my phone for repair for something else.

    I phoned the phones 4 u repair centre. The guy (Ian)who answered my phone was eating something whilst speaking to me. He was not helpfull at all. He told me that I can not post the phone back to Phones 4u. I have to hand it again back to Phones 4u store in high wycombe. So I did. I went to High wycombe Phones 4 u store..

    Mr Samir Shaan , Phones 4 u High wycombe store manager looked worst than Mr Joseph Stalinin his body language as cold as ICE.. I wwas told I have to wait further 4 weeks to get my phone forr the damages which phones 4 u did whilst it is their repair centre.

    Ladies and Gentlemen.. what will you do in my case.. 1 and half month waiting for my phone fixed by phones 4 u.. instead they damage my phone further.. I have wriiten over 10 faxes 20 e mails. I did not receive a single reply to none of them .

    I paid 90 pounds phones insurance under Phones 4 u. For nothing. So cancelled my contract with vodaphone. I am moving now network to TESCO mobile .. HURRAAAA!!!!

    What will you do in my case??? Bin the phone or Bin the Phones 4u company FOREVER!!!

    My suggestion :

    1.CANCEL YOUR PHONES 4u insurance immediately. You are paying for nothing !!!! Believe me I have all the evidence..

    2. NEVER AND EVER AGAIN GO NEAR PHONES 4U. IT IS PHONES FOR THE LOONEY!!!

    my bad experience with phones 4 u;
    DISGRACEFUL TREATMENT BY PHONES 4 U. DONT CHOOSE PHONES 4U.

    my phone broke down, I could not recieve and make calls. my phone is still under 12 months warranty /pay monthly contract. I went to phones4u high wycombe branch. extremely unhelpfull staff. then they told me they can not help me. Eventually after an hour of converastion they agreed to take my phone to be sent to their reapir centre. guess what!!! they told me it might take upto 3 weeks. then I phoned the phones 4u repair centre: 08701 611 005 . I discovered that they recorded my address wrongly.. so I had to wait further untill my address was corrected. then I spoke to Ms NIcola from the same repair centre. She was as cold as ICE on the phone. And She refused to help me. and She said that she will hold the phone unless I pay 17 pounds.. for what??? Black mail!! she said she will not return my phone unless repair payment is made. How come when a phone is still under warranty?? phones 4u reapir centre also claim that it is a 'cosmetic damage' when it actually says on the repair form that 'can't receive and make calls and spring inside is loose'
    although it is phones4u responsibility they aske me to contact sony ericson.. false information..
    phones4u refused to help me.. watch out. Poor customer services.. and be carefull NOT TO GET PHONES Insurance with phones 4 u. You have to pay 50 pounds excess fee for each repair.. this was not explained to me at the store. So I had to pay 90 pounds insurance for nothing...

    my recommendation..: dont choose phones4u.. better to deal with the man in the bazaar you will be better off or.
    Not only I am left without phone.. but I hate put up with their poor customer services,,
    the choice is yours.. you will be better off buying a phone in e bay or in the moon or mars..
    DECISION IS YOURS BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PHONES 4U. YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH THEM 4EVER!!! Summary: phones 4 u has poor customer services

    misleading information to sell someone a contract is FRAUD. contact phones4u and advise them that if you do not hear from them with a certain time frame you are contacting your legal team. END OFF

    I recently went to phones4u to enquire about a new phone and tariff.

    The shop assistant asked what I required from my tariff and I advised that one of the important things was unlimited or a large amount of internet data time/space.

    I was advised to go onto a specific tariff with Vodafone and the assistant advised me that I would have "free" internet and this included, myspace, google, ebay, msn messenger, bbc mobile and many more. This tariff would be £50 per month.

    To me this seemed like a great package so agent (slightly rushingly) showed me where to sign on the dotted line.

    This is where the problems begin. I didnt receive my bill and checked my online back statement to find that Vodafhone had taken a whopping £350!

    I called vodafone who advised that the best thing for me to do was to contact phones4u. I contacted them 2 days ago and they advised they would call me last night and they havent, I have just called again and the very unhelpful call centre agent said she would try and get the original person I spoke to call me back but couldnt guarentee this.

     
    I am appauled by the service phones4u have given me and want to know my rights on this situation? Any comments would be much appreciated!
