MBNA switching off my promo deal.

Ive had a mare with MBNA recently.

I opened a new account a couple of months ago and all good..... now there was a problem they required first payment on 27th of the month and i dont get paid until 28th so my direct debit was set with them and i thought all was in hand. well it wasnt. they chargedd me £12 late payment fee which when i found out about i complained they subsequently refunded that amount and all was better, well so i thought. It turns out they had switched off my promo deal after that late payment i was not informed of this. a month later i get my statment and it shows intrest !!

Ok to make matters worse i used my card in an emergency abroad thinking i knew how much i had to play with when really there wasnt as much as i thought so i am margianlly over my limit too.

After talking to them they have agreed to put my promo rates back but will not refund my intrest. My argument is that had i not been charged intrest i would not have gone over my limit!! but they still woulnd budge !!

Where do i stand can i push to have the intrest put back ?!

    Andy

So you did not comply with the terms you agreed when you opened your account. They have made an exception and generously reimbursed you for most of the consequences of your mistake. And still you complain. Unbelievable.

Sorry i forgot to add that i was advised the promo should have been turned back on after the intial complication but it wasn't done.

Is it MBNA's fault that you get paid later than the due date? It is your responsibility to ensure payments are met, these are clearly stated in the terms and conditions.
