I presume by "resale" you mean resale value, Andy??

If you do, i'm going to have to disagree i'm affraid.

My Celica VVTI 140 (2002(02) Premium sport with just 32000 miles on the clock in stunning condition seems to be worth next to nothing..

I'm actually offended by how much people have offered me for the car.  :o(

    Hi Loubie,

Before you decide drive the T-Sport Celica, or if you can afford it the GT, it is a fantastic car!!

(I work for Toyota, but have to say my last GT bought the "fun" back into driving) I know not everyone is the same but the celica is streets ahead in terms of reliabilty and resale!

    Andy

I have owned a Celica for a couple of years now and think it looks brilliant. I have a premium sport model that has leather, 17" alloy wheels and rear spoiler. It handles brilliantly if driven on the right tyres. Even though the car is totally standard, it turns heads everywhere it goes. If you do buy one i would suggest you find a colour other than blue or red and also you MUST have the rear spoiler, the car does not look right without it. For the money, you cant beat the Celica..

Hi there, i am quite a big car enthusiast and work for VW as a tech. I have driven the RX8 (was a trade in) and i loved it. It was quick, agile and a comfortable car to drive (a little bumpy due to sports suspention). In my opinion the RX8 is more of a drivers car where as the celica is a little 'timid' for my liking. Although the RX8 is a better drivers car you will 'pay' the extra for buying, insureing and fuelling it. The Rotary engines in the mazda are very good but very thirsty so take this all into account when deciding.
    Hope this helps

    George

Hmm [^o)] Mazda RX8 v's Toyota Celica 140 Premium pack or T SPORT

Help! I'm looking to buy a new car (well when I say new not sure if it'll be brand new, maybe a year or two old) and I love both the Mazda RX8 and the Toyota Celica. I've read quite a lot of professional reviews on both and the Celica is winning for me at the moment. Problem is the RX-8 is by far the more glamourous to look at and a few £000s extra.

Does anyone own any of these two cars that'll help me decide?

    Thanks
