    Mature student?? Education loan/grant

Hi! I'm Dave, 51 yrs old & looking to train for a new career. Qualification I need and hope to achieve is only a 'Dip' (not HNC, NVQ or suchlike) but is Government recognized and accredited. Fee will approach £10,000. Short of robbing a bank can anyone think of a way I can fund my training (interest free if poss!) and repay when I start earning? If this 'perfect world' solution proves too much to ask then any advice that might help me along would be very much appreciated. Many thanks!

I wish you well in your future - Have you tried the open university?  They offer some financial assistance, dependant on income.  I have been studying with them for a year now and found the whole system to be FANTASTIC.  Totally recommend the OU to all that have the discipline to study in their own time.  Good Luck.
