    Good on you then.

You may find e,on will slap penalties on you making cashback worthless.

I might leave E.On just as soon as my cashback is through.

I will then find the best current deal and move there for a short a time as is necessary before I re-evaluate again.

its a shame people have to rely on martin lewis to save money and fight the bank charges.

il give it 4 years before he is on some celeb reality show.

shame on you mooreaz for joining e.on

i cant wait to leave them and i dare say after realising e.ons deal isnt the cheapest i dare say you will too.

Shame that EON saw fit to increase the tarriff price on their PP2009, making it more expensive than BG's and that runs longer as well. So glad I did my homework!

I hear Mr Lewis was v animated indeed!

    hi people

its amazing isnt it, i am with Scottishpower on their earlier fixed price march 2011 online tariff which was withdrawn by the end of may, and replaced with their September 2009 tariff (also available as either an online or paper bill tariff), Martin lewis was suggesting switch to the Scottishpower 2009 tariff as it was the cheapest in the market, now i noticed it was pulled from the comparison websites last night, as daily express ran an article in it, but it is still available via their website and if you ring their call centre - but i bet its god damn busy though - so that must be cheaper than EON's deal

But i can imagine it wont be available for long.....

I just switched myself to E.On capped from a different E.On tariff.

E.On will also let you change tariff twice per quarter if you should wish to.

Martin Lewis on GMTV this morning saved me money.....an appreciation thread

Seeing as the moneysaving chap, martin lewis, has just saved me money this morning i thought i'd make the effort to register and post here in appreciation and as thanks.

He was urging people on gmtv this morning to get one of the three last cheap capped energy price deals available- post edf price rise of 20 percent last week. He said they will probably be pulled today or tomorrow. Well i normally don't bother and think ah i'll do it later but got up and checked uswitch, energyshop and moneysupermarket and it has just saved me money.

Current annual bill with edf for electricity =£703 BEFORE the price rise so now this will be more.

add to that the expected increases again of a similar 20 percent by the end of

    year. getting expensive now.

Within an hour of the gmtv show i have switched to EON and the same usage will now cost me £545 per annum!

and......that is capped until end of 2009! so although they will probably increase their rates very soon as per edf, and probably increase rates by end of year also- it will now not affect me.You normally pay more for a cap but switching means i am paying substantially less!

Also only a 28 day contract so good if i want to cancel, and tesco points are accumulated, which is where i shop.

I can't see any downsides. eon have probably got their critics but in my experience all companies have!

    Thanks martin lewis.

ps. I'm an aircraft engineer before someone thinks i 'm affiliated to EON!
