    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

As well as not properly advising clients, indeed potential conflict of interest, the solicitors (OR) are especially culpable for insisting that deposit stage payments still had to be made, even when it was clear things were not moving forward - "you are covered by insurance" after all.... KPMG are just milking this one to death, wouldn't any company charging the sort of fees they can command? I am still hopeful we'll get a large chunk of deposits back (which puts us in a better position than many other failed offplan projects)but when is anybody's guess. Also remember that we are not waiting for proceeds from the LLP otherwise we should have given up long ago, as Zurich will be making the refund..

Certainly an expensive, and painful, lesson for all.

Got the same letter - it's scandalous - they will drag it out to September 2012 and then there will be another story. I wonder how much of this money will be left by then - I question the solicitors we have to let this drag on and on - my common sense tells me we are barking up the wrong tree. Good luck - I have given up - we are dealing with people that has done this before and knows the loopholes. The auditors are laughing all the way to the bank and are sending me all this rubbish that means nothing and clogs up my study space - what a waste of paper.

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

As far as I know nothing has really changed from the messages below, it is a case of waiting for KPMG to pull their fingers out and disolve the company. Once this happens we will be able to make a claim with Zurich. The only thing to do now is hope KPMG get on with it sooner rather than later.....

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

If you're with Godloves surprised you haven't received anything , I have today been sent (by my solicitor at ORR) a copy of an email between Zurich and Godloves confirming that dissolution of the company would trigger the policy and claims should be submitted and they will be assessed individually .

The bad news is that the extension was granted so this dissolution could happen at any time between now and September 2012, always supposing KPMG are unable to continue milking this beyond that date.

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

    Dear All:

    Bad news and good news:

First the bad news: the administrion got an extension untill september/2012.

good news: Zurich did confirm that it is enough to dissolve the company.

An email exchange with Solicitor confirms this.

The question is now how can we speed the process ?

    Re: Manyoo - Salford quays

I received the same report, I think it goes out to people who registered with KPMG. It seems ridiculous to extend for 12 months for what seems like tying up a few loose ends. Given what is left to do, I can't imagine it would drag out for 12 months, but why extend for 12 months unless you plan for it to take that long, why not extend for another 6 months?? Who knows....but this saga seems like it is going to drag out a bit longer.
