I don't have any experience but I think the inmates of many American jails do. You can check the availability of cheap flights to the States on ms' 'TRAVEL search engine.

Re: making your own number plates

Regulations recently introduced stop you making number plates yourself.  A number plate supplier will make up plates only on production of a V5 registration document.  If you want your name to appear on the plates there is a regulation size and font for 'advertising messages'. People who show cars can have plates made up which do not look like genuine numbers, but the number plate supplier will log all information and ask you to sign a disclaimer saying you will never use the plate on a car on the road.  You might find if you have one of these advertising plates made up, that you have to report to a police station with the car, for inspection.

    making your own number plates

Hey does anybody have any experience with creating their own number plates or show plates? For example, I came across this site: Number Plates and I thought it looked pretty cool and would love to have my name on my new car's plates, but wondered if anybody has done this before and what company you used to make your plates?

    Thanks for your help.
