You will probably get a slightly better rate with a bank draft or telegraphic transfer than a credit card and a credit card could levy something on each transaction. If the amount is large, I would go for a telegraphic transfer rather than a bank draft as it'll cost a little more (£20?) but will be quicker and less likely to go astray.

    Making Payments in U.S

My son gets married in Philadelphia this summer. My Husband & I will be hosting a reception the evening before the wedding. What will be our most cost-effective method of paying for this in the U.S? I was unsure about

    1) Credit Card - but will also have accomodation on that!

    2) Bankers Draft - sending money to my son's account in U.S. (£17 charge) & him paying by cheque or Another method of your recommendation?

    Thank you
