Loan & overdraft in red with ex-partner - now he is going bankrupt

I have a joint loan and join account with an overdraft with my ex partner. He has told me he is declaring bankrupcy soon. Can anyone advise where I stand with re-payments for the loan and overdraft? I dont see why I should pay the whole loan/overdraft (I am a single mum, with my ex-partners child) and he has to pay nothing.

He is willing to pay child support (I have gone thru CSA) but nothing towards the outstanding loan (£5k) or overdraft (£3k).

I have been into see the loan company as he ceased making any payment at all about 2 mths ago, they arent bothered as long as someone is paying.

Hope someone can give me advice. Thanks.

Unfortunately the nature of joint credit is that either of you can be asked to pay. Your local Citizens Advice Bureau may be able to offer advice if this will result in difficulties.
