    Jojo

It is possible that if at any time you have jointly applied for certain finance products that there would be linked information in the credit records. If this is the case they could find out.

You may get away with it depending on how thorough the mortgage company are. But you should think about the consequences in the future and should perhaps obtain some legal advice.

    Re: Loan advice needed

    Hi

    That helps

BUT if I could get a loan on my own and him go for the mortgage on his own, would that affect the mortgage. Would he just state that the deposit is a gift from someone?

The reason we are doing this separtely is because of my credit history. I desparately want to get this sorted ASAP so i can put an offer in on the house.

We can loan some of the money off a family member but not it all. Its not that we cant afford to do it this way, its just finding the best way.

    Thanks.....

    Re: Loan advice needed

Your mortgage provider will want to know the source of your deposit. Theoretically, using a loan for a house deposit is little different from getting a 100% mortgage (albeit 10% is unsecured) and so the mortgage provider will be very reluctant to authorise this.

Unfortunately, I think that even if you were able to get a loan for the deposit, this will have a negative impact on you then securing a mortgage.

    Hope this helps...

    Loan advice needed

    Hi

Myself and my partner have found a house we want to buy.

problem is getting the 10% deposit.

We have looked in to loans (the house is a cheap one so deposit is low), problem is, I have a really bad credit rating (CCJ's) My partner has an excellent one but already has a car on finance so his credit value has gone down to almost half of what we need (he has been turned down for the loan through his bank because of him not having enough value).

My partner can get a mortgage on his own and a loan on his own BUT will getting a loan effect the amount of mortgage he will be offered?

If so, whats the best advice for me getting a loan with my bad credit?

Hope that makes sense and you can help.
