Re: Lloyds Account Reviews - Harrasment

If you have kept within the terms of your overdraft and there is no reason for Lloyds TSB to review the account, then I would suggest that you write back in response to one of the letters, asking them for the exact purpose of any review. Point out to them that the last time they did a review they tried to hard sell the banks products, even though it was made clear that you did not want that to happen.

My understanding is that ANY bank can review ALL account terms/conditions and withdraw any of the facilities. So it would not be unique to you. There are some rules regarding fairness and causing hardship which they would have to comply with. So they could not suddenly withdraw any overdraft, if that was to your detriment. They would have to give you notice, but I am not sure of the timescale.

If you called Money advice service helpline, I am sure they would provide more info. http://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/yourmoney/

Re: Lloyds Account Reviews - Harrasment

    Hi all,

I have banked with Lloyds TSB for 11 years and my Husband 15 years. They contantly ring me about going in for a account review and when I do they try and get me to take loans, credit cards, home insurance and car insurance. I do have a overdraft on my account which is the reason they always offer me a loan and I dont want on. The only debt I have is mortgage and overdraft and I feel like they really presure me and I dont want that. I moved house 6 months ago and the rang me for a review so I said to them I will come in but I dont want any loans, credit cards etc When I went in they still did the normal hard sell on loans so I told them I had just bought a new house and bills were alot more so i need to get back on feet before I could commit to anything. I said I would ring them in about 6month when I was finacially sorted, Over the past two weeks Ive had three voicemails and 2 letters asking me to call them and I know its for this account review and I really dont want to sit and feel pressured like they do. My question is if I dont attend the review can they take away my overdraft? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
