There is a element of honest truth in skywalkers post. I know cost in not always the most important factor when considering a loved one and you are doing the right thing by planning ahead. But a basic funeral in this country would be approx £3500 and would be considerably more for a complex arrangement. You could be looking at costs exceeding £10,000.

Speak to the cooperative about whether their plans could be tailored to cover the situation. And also to liverpool Victoria and Axa Sun Life about Life Insurance based plans. Another possible solution is to have one plan in the UK for transport to the airport, including any clearance documents and then another plan in Morocco to take over from there.

Have you phoned the Cooperative funeralcare who have a tailormade service which can be paid into as a plan. Would they cover an arrangement abroad, working with funeral company in the country of origin ?

Liverpool victoria have a life policy based internation repatriation funeral plan policy. Axa Sun Life may also have plans to cover the situation.
