    I was so brassed off with LG's agents service care i tried to get my set repaired locally although it was still under warranty.

    All the plasma TV repairers ln Swansea told me the same thing. They won't repair LG as LG want 300 pounds for the service manuals for their sets.

    After my 2 year warranty is up i have a set i will not be able to be repaired locally. Hardly believable for a company with a "World Wide Reputation"

    this is the tip of the iceberg...............


    this new technology is NOT tried and tested as opposed to CRT which took many many years to become ultra reliable.......rememeber the problems with them in the 60' and 70's...????................then you had 000's of repair vans on the road repairing the tv's.............


    BUT in those days you RENTED the tv, so these problems were all sorted out..................


    now we do NOT have rental deals, so we all pay over £1,000 for the tv and £00's more for the "warranty" which as we can all see is a waste of money as the service is poor.......................

    LG Plasma TV Warranty & Service Care Repairs ???

    I bought a 42" lg Plasma set in May 2005. It came with a 2 year warranty. Just after the year the picture went. Service care who repair on behalf of LG did a hot swap with another used set.Since June i have had 4 hot swaps plus one repair. The swaps have lasted usually 3 weeks before they fail. The repair came back exactly the same as it left.

    The last hot swap was delayed as the couriers had cross threaded the TV stand on their previous visit and brought a swap minus a stand so the swap could not take place.

    I have rung LG countless times. E mailed them. Sent a garanteed next day delivery letter to the service manager but still i get fobbed off with repacements sets that are not " fit for purpose".

    Since i bought my set a friend of mine who works locally in Currys tells me they get 1 LG set back each day for repair.

    Do not buy an LG Plasma or enter into a warranty insurance if Service care are the agents.
