Lehman Bros Crash - SPML Mortgage

I currently have a mortgage with SPML, but am in process of remortgaging to Nationwide.

As far as I can see SPML have never sold my mortgage on and still have it on their books. Is there even the slightest chance that todays news might make it worth it keeping the mortgage with SPML.

I'm presuming that the liquidators of Lehman will just find a buyer for the SPML mortgage book and they'll still want their money back!!!

Hi....as with Northern Rock the new bank will have to honour the full extent of your deal. However there probably won't be a new deal after the existing one ends, so ensure your payments are up to date and your credit score is reasonable before you re-mortgage. If you are unable to leave you will stay on the variable rate as described in your original offer.

Who do you think would want to buy this mortgage book, I'm on it by the way, when it was specifically not that attractive in the first place?
