    I am afraid that is down to you.

    It sounds like you had a basic valuation, if you had something more in depth - homebuyers report, full structural survey - those problems should have been highlighted and you could have negotiated on price.

    legal rights first time buyer

    i have just recently purchased a house and all signed over a few days ago, since then all has gone wrong and the electrics have packed in due to the very old fuse board melting and nearly causing a fire. i arranged to have new fuse board/circuit board installed but they can only connect the wires that are new and there are very old wires in the house and have said that for safety reasons the whole house needs rewired. just now i have lights , some sockets work downstairs none upstairs, gas heating not working as the elctric part not connected,

    any info on legal rights im i liable or is the seller still liable at this early stage.
