Re: Leaving Santander for Co-Op. Advice please.

I left Halifax [I'm sure I do not have to say why] 4 years ago and moved to Coop. I felt it was as near to an ethical bank as any of them would be. I have had no reason to change again and as I have no loyalty to any organisation I would have done if the service had not met my standards. So far they have dealt swiftly with any problems and show respect and consideration when this little grey haired old lady rings up in a panic. All transactions are dealt with quickly and I deposit the occasional cheque via the Post Office with no problems. I'm sure some people will have contrary opinions but Coop are currently serving me well. Hope this is useful.

Leaving Santander for Co-Op. Advice please.

After being so disappointed with Santander's customer service, I just applied for co-ops current account (£13 per month) for the range of insurances and services that come with it.

However I'm a little concerned after reading the reviews for Co-Op. (delays in transactions, poor internet banking). Having said this, I know ALL banks have upset customer's and people are more prepared to report bad experiences than good.

Before I sign the paperwork, I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience of this account and how was the switch from another bank?

    Thanks
